Also called Dangmyeon in Korean language, it is a type of Cellophane noodles made from sweet potato starch. This is best used to prepare the Korean Japchae, a sweet and savoury stir-fried noodles. They are translucent noodles with pale grey colour and chewy and elastic properties.

Japchae (Korean Dish: Stir-fried Glass Noodles And Vegetables) (Serves 2) 
Ingredients: 
vermicelli 100g, meat (beef or pork) 50g, shiitake mushroom 3 ea, spinach 30g, carrot 30g, minced garlic 5g, sesame seed 5g, sesame oil 5ml, soy sauce 7 ml, sugar 5g, cooking oil 10 ml, black pepper 3g, salt 3g 
You can add or use other vegetables or meat according to your taste 
Cooking Directions: 
1. Vermicelli Preparation: Put vermicelli into a boiling water and boil it for 5 min. Rinse the vermicelli with cold water and drain water off it by using a cooking sieve. Stir-fry it with cooking oil and add sugar and soy sauce until it becomes glossy 
2. Meat Preparation: Chop up meat and stir-fry it with minced garlic and soy sauce 
3, Vegetable Preparation: Chop up prepared vegetables (mushroom, spinach, carrot) and stir-fry them respectively with salt 
4. Mix all of the prepared food and ingredients and place them on a flat dish. Top sesame and black pepper on it
